our mission
The
Lake Auman Sports Club's mission is to promote and enhance sporting activities
and the community assets that facilitate those activities. Club members
participate in activities which include boating, fishing, shooting sports
and hunting along with periodic relevant competitive events and annual
social events which members and their guests can enjoy. Additionally,
the Club conducts projects to support community assets including fish
restocking, lake cleanup and other lake environment enhancement programs
dedicated to preserving the quality of life in our community's most significant
asset, beautiful Lake Auman.
Lake
Auman Sports Club (LASC) History
LASC was founded in 1999
by several Lake Auman residents who wanted to enhance the value of Lake
Auman to the residents by providing programs that improved fishing, promoted
more enjoyment from fishing and by sponsoring other sports programs based
on the interest of the community. The initial project of the group was
to improve the cover in the lake by sinking Christmas trees in selected
areas. Twenty-five interested Westsiders attended the first meeting.
LASC Membership
Today, LASC has approximately 200 members. Membership is open to all Seven
Lakes West property owners and annual dues are only $15. While a percentage
of the membership regularly participate in the monthly meetings held on
the second Tuesday at 7 PM in the West Side Community Center and hands-on
participation is most desirable, passive membership also offers a broad
base of support, awareness and input for continued development. In addition
to our website, a link to the LASC can be found at the Seven
Lakes West Landowners Association web site and is also on Facebook.
Please consider joining in the community fun and fellowship. We’re confident that doing so will be mutually beneficial. Our membership application is available here includng contact information for follow-up or questions.
Welcome to Seven Lakes West and the Lake Aumen Sports Club!
